Tanker and port facilities damaged in allision in Ust-Luga

On Feb 14, 2026, the 'Tony', upon its arrival from the Indian port Mundra to load petroleum products, allided with a quay wall and a potrt crane in the Russian oil port of Ust-Luga. It slammed against the port facilities with iits starboard side bow. No injuries nor oil spils were reported, but both the berth and the crane were damaged, forcing partial operational restrictions, while inspections were underway. The tanker's hull was breached at the starboard side foreship just above the waterline. The Northwestern Transport Prosecutor launched an investigation. The suezmax remained moored at the port on Feb 16. The 'Tony' was operated by the Greek George Procopiou's Dynacom Tankers Management.
