Medevac off Limassol
SAR crews responded on Aug 5, 2013, to a distress call from the "Front Signe" off the coast of Limassol, following the injury of a crew member in the afternoon. The "Front Signe", which at the time was some 27 kilometres off the coast of Limassol, called for help at 2.30p.m. Authorities sent a fast patrol boat to pick up the man along with a Limassol general hospital nurse. The injured man was admitted to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department at about 4.30 p.m., and the foreign ministry has taken action to inform his Family.
