Medevac off Ijmuiden
On May 28, 2013, a crew member of the "Gas Evoluzione" suffered an arm injury. The KNRM-lifeboat "Koos van Messel" was called to medevac him at an anchorage area about 10 miles NNW of IJmuiden where the LPG-tanker was was anchored. He was smoothly transferred aboard and taken to shore, where he could be transported further to hospital with a taxi.
