Tjoetta

On the afternoon of July 23, the 'Tjøtta', which runs the Forvik-Tjøtta route, has been taken out of servic by the operator Boreal, after suffering technical problems. The ferry 'Alsen' was inserted as a replacement at around 3:30 p.m. However, the situation created challenges for agriculture on the island, which has no other options for collecting milk and scheduled delivery of animals to the slaughterhouse. On July 24 the ship sailed from Tjøtta to Sandnessjjøen for repairs.

The 'Tjøtta', sailing on the route Tjøtta - Forvik, suffered technical issues on Feb 28, 2025. As a consequence, the scheduled departure from Tjøtta at 11:00 en route to Mindland and Tro as well as the return sailing from Tro at 2:55 p.m. to Mindland and Tjøtta had to be cancelled. The sihp was expected to be back in normal operation starting with the 3:30 p.m. departure from Tjøtta, where the ferry was sidelined for troubleshooting.

The 'Tjøtta', operating on the route Forvik-Tjøtta, had to cancel its sailings on Oct 29, 2024, due to technical issueswith gear.. As a replacement, the shuttle boat 'Flesa' was inserted between Minland and Tjøtta according to the regular timetable for the local route until further notice also on Oct 30. The shuttle boat, howver, only takes passengers. The ferry 'Sigrid' on the direct route calls at Tro and Stokkasjøen on certain departures. On Oct 30 at 6 a.m. UTC the ''Tjøtta' sailed from the port of Tjøtta to a shipyard in Sandnessjøen, where it arrived at 7.30 a.m. for permanent repairs.

In the afternoon of Nov 5 the ferry service Nesna-Levang had to be suspended due to a technical failure of the "Tjøtta". The "Lovund Express" took over with a departure from Levang on Nov 7 at 6 a.m. but she can not carry vehicles. It was the third time the "Tjøtta" was out of operation due to technical faults after she returned from an extended stay at a shipyard in October. She docked in Sandnessjøn for troubleshooting.
