Troubled Wagenborg ship escorted to Baie Comeau
On Aug 14, 2025, the 'Tiberborg' , enroute from Matane, suffered an engine damage in Baffin Bay (Lat. 72.7383 Lng. -71.0267) and went adrift. On Aug 19 the tug 'Beverly M 1' (IMO: 9084047) was deployed from Gros Cacouna to assist. The tug escorted the freighter on Aug 21 back to Baie-Comeau, sailing at a speeed of around five knots, where it finally arrived on Sep 5. After repairs, the cargo ship left the port again on Sep 22, headed to the port of Onsan with an ETA as of Nov 6.
Blackout due to generator failure
The 'Tiberborg' suffered a blackout due to a failure of its generator 5,8 nautical miles southeast of Pointe-des-Monts, Quebec, on Feb 23, 2020. Repairs were carried out by the crew, and the ship resumed its voyage to New Orleans with an ETA as of March 6.
