Disabled tug towed to Varna
The "SD Seahorse", en route from Novrossiysk to Varna, became disabled and went adrift following a main engine failure, in position 44 04 12 N, 34 26 24 E in the Black Sea on June 20, 2018, at 8.50 p.m. The crew attempted to repair the engine without success, and it was decided to have the tug towed to the port of Sevastopol. A salvage tug arrived on scene at 9 a.m., and on June 21 at 11.30 a.m. the "SD Seahorse" was safely berthed at Ezerovo in the port of Varna.
