Cylinder damage off Wolf Rock
On Aug 24, 2019, the "Arklow Rebel" suffered problems with its cooling system 3.6 miles East of Wolf Rock, in position 49 57.02N, 005 43.08W. The vessel was loaded with 4725 metric tonnes of cement and was bound from Drogheda to London. It required a cylinder change in the engine. The estimated time of repairs was six to eight hours, during which time the "Arklow Rebel" was at anchor to reduce drift. The vessel continued the voyage after the damage was fixed with an ETA as of Aug 26, 1.45 a.m.
