On Jan 29, 2020, at 4.40 p.m. 'Peak Bremen' allided with the gate of the old Southern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel after its westbound transit of the waterway. The railing of the gate was bent. The ship was detained until completion of investigations of the water police in Brunsbüttel. The 'Peak Bremen' was enroute from Rendsburg to Esbjerg. The ship continued its voyage at 6.10 p.m. with an ETA as of Jan 30, 9 a.m.
