Tanker grounded in Sunda Strait
On July 9, 2018, at 7 a.m. the "Pazifik" ran aground in position 08 29 S ; 119 20 E, in the Lesser Sunda Strait between the islands Pulau Sangeang and Pulau Banta. The tanker was en route from Luwuk and passing the Strait in southern direction. It was refloated early on July 14 and towed by the tug "Pacific Valour" (IMO: 9443516) to eastern Pulau Sumbawa island, where it was moored at Sape anchorage.
