Tanker suffered engine failure
The 'Paxoi' suffered engine failure in the Gibraltar Strait shortly after leaving Algeciras with 3.500 tons of oil products on board, bound for Tangier, on Nov 13 at 6.30 p.m. The tanker reported the damage to Salvamento Maritimo short past midnight, and the salvage tug 'SAR Mastelero' (IMO: 9525730) was tasked to assist. The tanker was taken in tow at 10 p.m. The convoy was joined by the tugs 'Wellington' (MMSI: 236112561), and 'Rooke' (MMSI: 236112560) heading to Gibraltar where the ship was berthed at the Detached Mole on Nov 15 at noon.
