Supply ship to search for lost vessel

Jun 02, 2020 13:30

After the Canadian Coastguard ended search for the lost f/v 'Sarah Anne' on May 27, 2020, the 'Paul A. Sacuta 'will be searching around the clock to locate the vessel, which did not return after its crew left St. Lawrence for a fishing trip. The province has secured the vessel to continue the search for the fishing vessel that went missing off the coast of St. Lawrence and the missing Isaac Kettle, the lone crew member who has not been found. The 'Sarah Anne', along with its four crew members, did not return to St. Lawrence after leaving to fish crab on May 25 morning. The bodies of Edward Norman, 67; his son, Scott Norman, 35; and his nephew, Jody Norman, 42, were recovered on May 26. The Canadian Coast Guard's search for Kettle ended 8:45 p.m. on May 27 night after spanning 650 nautical miles, and was turned over to the RCMP, which said it will not be conducting its own search.
