Bulk carrier grounded on St. Lawrence River
The 'Patagonman' ran aground in front of the Cote St Catherine Lock on the St. Lawrence river, upstream of Montreal, on Dec 11, 2022, en route from Bandirma to Les Escoumins. The bulk carrier was refloated several hours later with tug assistance and berthed at Sainte Catherine, Montral, at 11.20 a.m. A cargo ship and an oil tanker were forced to wait near the lock until the bulk carrier was removed.
