Engine trouble on Volga Caspain Ship Canal
The "Pars Khazar 2", while en route to Astrakhan, suffered a main engine malfunction on Sep 24, 2018, at 8 a.m. on the Volgo-Caspian Ship Canal at km 67. The ship immediately dropped anchor to conduct repairs. After the repairs were completed at 10 a.m., the permission was given to continue its passage to the port of Astrakhan, where the vessel arrived on Sep 25 at 11 a.m.

The "Pars Khazar 2" started to drift in Astrakhan port in the afternoon of Apr 28, 2018, and allided with two other cargo ships moored on the Volga river. First, she struck the anchored Russian freighter "Baltiyskiy 40", which broke off her anchorage. Next she slammed into the Iranian freighter"Nardis". The "Pars Khazar 2" sustained a breach of 1x1.5 meters in the ballast tank No. 6 area.
