Bulk carrier rescued 283 distressed migrants
The 'Paolo Topic' was asked to interrupt the voyage from Ashdod to Diliskelesi in the evening ofSep 19, 2022, west of Cyprus, after it was ordered by the Turkish Maritime Authorities to assist 283 migrants aboard a distressed boat. The ship picked up the migrants and proceeded towards Antalya anchorage on Sep 20 and moored at 5 p.m. to disembark the castaways.
