Engine trouble in Çanakkale Strait
On Feb 2, 2022, the 'Panther Max' suffered an engine failure off Nara en route from Alexandria to Chornomorsk. The ship requested assistance, and the Çanakkale Ship Traffic Services Center deployed the tugs 'Kurtarma 16' and 'Nazim Tur', the lifeboat 'KIYEM 1' and a pilot to the scene.The ship was safely anchored in the Saltik Port area for repairs.
