Medevac off Barcelona
On May 29, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. the medical evacuation of a crew member from the 'Teal Ray', en route from Vado Ligure, was requested, while the chemical tanker was sailing 60 mautical miles south of Barcelona. The CCS Barcelona of Salvamento MarÃtimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 222, which hoisted the patient and transported him to the helipad of the Son Espases Hospital in Palma, where he was hospitalized for further medical care.
