Grounding off Stylida
On the morning of Jan 19, 2026, the Port Authority of Stylida was informed about the grounding of the 'Panormitis', with six crew members on board, on a sandy shoal in the port channel of Stylida. Immediately, the Local Emergency Plan was put into effect and a patrol boat of the Greek Coast Guard well as a patrol vehicle went to the grounding site. The'Panormitis' managed to free itself by its own means and sailed safely into the port of Stylida, accompanied by the patrol boat.No injuries and no pollution were reported. The Stylida Port Authority bammed the ship from sailing, until a certificate of seaworthiness was presented by the monitoring classification society.
