Crane plunged onto deck
The "Maersk Weymouth" diverted to Falmouth after one of her two deck cranes plunged to the deck whilst the ship was underway from Rotterdam, where she had sailed on Mar 13, 2015, to the Caribbean port Puerto Limon, about 150 miles SW of Cornwall. The master thereupon decided to return to the safety of Falmouth Bay. Negotiations were started to have the crane removed by a crane barge on Currack Roads and work was underway using the "Mortlift II" on May 20.
