Search for missing sailor
On Feb 25, 2018, the Crisis Management Center of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations received an appeal from the Port and Maritime Administration of Iran in connection with the conduct of a search for an Iranian crew member of the "Taradis" who went missing in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. On February 26, a helicopter of the Air Force of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and two ships of the Coast Guard of the State Border Service were involved in the search for the missing sailor.
Grounding on Volga – Caspian Sea Canal
The "Taradis" ran aground on the Volga – Caspian Sea Canal at kilometer mark 143 on July 6, 2017, at 4 a.m. while heaving up the anchor. The crew was awaiting for high water for refloating. The vessel was loaded with barley, bound for Amirabad, Iran. On July 7 the vessel was still aground.
