Engine trouble off Terschelling
The 'Pacific South', en route from Velsen to Narvik with 26 crew members on board, suffered engine trouble in position 53 22 41N, 004 40 41E, about 19,46 nautical miles from Terschelling in the middle of the traffic separation scheme (TSS) on Sep 18, 2021, at 12.30 a.m. The Dutch Coastguard had sent a mail to relevant tug companies. A Coastguard team was in the vicinity of the vessel and has asked it to leave as it was proving to be a hindrance for other vessels. The bulk carrier was anchored in position 53 22 39N, 004 40 20E, about 19,5 nautical miles from Terschelling. As of Sep 28, it was moored in pos. 52° 32.18' N 004° 13.96' E on IJmuiden Anchorage.
