Tanker Navig8 Loucas rescued 11 crew from sank f/v Loamar Segundo, Atlantic
Spanish fishing vessel Loamar Segundo issued distress signal at 1009 LT May 6 2012, vessel was sinking in Capo Verde area, near position 16 50N 026 28W. MRCC Spain together with authorities of Capo Verde coordinated the rescue operation, and contacted tanker Navig8 Loucas, nearest to the site. 11 crew of Loamar Segundo went into two life raft, Nafig8 Loucas picked up all 11 fishermen at 1700 LT, nobody was injured. Tanker is to take rescued fishermen to Las Palmas, ETA May 10. Loamar Segundo 11 crew includes 3 Spanish, 3 CapoVerde, 4 Indonesians and 1 Peruvian. Tankerβs crew includes Filipino, Russian and Ukrainian nationalities. Maritime Bulletin http://www.odin.tc
