PACIFIC MERMAID 9045924
On Dec 12, 2010, the "Pacific Mermaid" broke from its moorings in Novorossiysk port and went adrift in strong NE winds with gusts up to 20 meters/sec. The vessel allided with the bulk carrier "Giorgos B." at berth 12, then moved further and allided with the bulk carrier "Bering ID" at berth 16. The port tug "Bodriy" while trying to take the "Pacific Mermaid" in tow, collided with the reefer after the towline broke, itthe got damages and dents of upper bridge, leers and radar antenna. The lifeboats were damaged on the "Pacific Mermaid" and "Giorgos B.", the "Bering ID" got damaged lifeboat and its bulwark dented on 20 meters length. odin.tc
