The HMAS "Melbourne" assisted a seriously ill crew member of the "City of Beijing" in the southern Arabian Sea on Sep 20. 2015, with the ship's medical officer administering emergency treatment to stabilise the sailor's condition. The "City of Beijing" which was enroute from Nacala was now heading to Mumbai at top speed so the patient could receive further medical treatment.
