Detention in Huanghua
The 'Pabela' was detained at Huanghua on Dec 16, 2025 after an initial inspection by the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control. The inspectors found 13 deficiencies, three of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention under the MoU’s guidelines. The bulk caarrier, which had arrived from Paradip on Dec 15 and had Tianjin as next port of destination with an ETA as of Dec 18, left its berth on Dec 16, but remained held in the port pending rectification of the identified deficiencies, anchoring in pos. 38° 58' N 118° 03' E as of Dec 19.
