New Charter for $12,750day with Glencore for 12 months

Diana Shipping Inc., a Greek owner and operator of dry bulkers, entered into a time charter contract with RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, a German company specialized in energy trading, for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Myrsini. The time charter is scheduled to commence on March 8, 2016. The gross charter rate for the bulk carrier built in 2010 is USD 5,550 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 12 months to about 15 months. The anticipated gross revenue for the minimum period amounts USD 2 million.

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership and operation of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it took delivery of the m/v “Myrsini” (formerly “Stefania Lembo”), a 2010 built Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel of 82,117 dwt. The acquisition of this vessel was originally announced on September 23, 2013, the Company said in a press release. The “Myrsini” is time chartered to Clearlake Shipping Pte. Ltd., Singapore, at a gross charter rate of US$15,500 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum four (4) months to about six (6) months. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow.
