Tanker detained again
The 'Myra Gas' was detained for the second time within less than half a year, this time at Shantou, on Feb 13, 2026, by the Tokyo MoU after an initial Port State Control inspection. The inspectors found seven deficiencies, three of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The tanker left the port again on Feb 15, next headed to Singapore with an ETA as of Feb 22. The last detention had taken place in the port of Hunangpu from Sep 17-18, 2025.

The ' Myra Gas' was detained ain the port of Humen on Sep 17, 2025, by the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) authorities. The initial inspection that revealed seven deficiencies, four of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The ship dropped anchor off the port on Sep 18.

With the addition of Jag Vidhi, GE Shipping's fleet stands at 33 vessels comprising 23 tankers (nine crude carriers, 13 product tankers, one LPG carrier) and 10 dry bulk carriers (one capesize, three kamsarmax, one panamax, four supramax, one handymax) with an average age of nine years aggregating 2.6m dwt.
