Ukrainian officer went missing
The 29 year old, Ukrainian 3rd Officer of the 'Gravity' went missing at sea on May 15, 2020. The ship was sailing from Al-Adabiyah to Tuticorin, where it arrived on May 21. Further investigations weere conducted by the Tuticorin police and other agencies.
Bulkcarrier under fire in Derna
THe "Iron Baron V" came under fire in Derna port in Libya this week. The ship was fired at by Libyan aircraft. Both the ship and the crew were reported as unharmed. The brand new ship was now anchored in international waters. The shipowner was expected to deliver a report on the incident to the Greek Coast Guard. On Aug 6 the vessel was in position 33 55N 023 28E, expecting orders where to proceed with its’ cargo of steel.
