Asphalt scattered during cargo operations
At the Tüpraş Izmit Refinery in Izmit, asphalt was scattered on the pier and on the side when a hose broke while loading the 'T. Adayli'. A pollution occurred on the pier and the water. The Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change responded. Anti pollution barriers with fuel absorbing sausage materials were laid out. Tüpraş and emergency response company teams started cleaning work under the coordination of the Regional Port Authority.
