Container loss off Scheveningen
The "NYK Rigel" lost an empty 40 ft-container over board in position 52 18 05N, 003 32 09E, 27 miles northwest of Hook of Holland on Jan 18. 2018, at 2.34 p.m. The ship was underway from Savannah to Rotterdam when the loss occurred in bad weather off Scheveningen. Two other containers fell onto the vessel's deck and damage inspections were carried out on arrival at the ECT Delta Container Terminal in the Amazone Port of Rotterdam on Jan 19 at 12.15 p.m.
