The 'Bobik', enroute from Poti to Lianyungang, was under attack 15 nautical miles west of Yemen's coast in pos. 12.726084 N 43.262100 E in the Bab el Mandeb area on Dec 5, 2025. About 15 boats approached the bulk carrier at a range of 1–2 cables on its way from Poti, which had armed guards on bord. The ship's master reported the crew was safe and that he was continuing the voyage to its next port of call, however, remaining on high alert.
