Tanker detained after collision off Yeosu
The "Ashley Lady" was blamed for a hit and run accident by the Korean Coast Guard and anchored on Yeosu anchorage. The master was arrested. On May 3, 2016, the tanker left Yeosu and collided with a coastal fishing vessel several miles off the port. The Russian captain of fishing vessel died. The tanker was ordered to return to Yeosu soon after the collision. The Korean Coast Guard carried out a bow paint analysis in the run of the investigations.
