A new set of pumping arrangement and pertinent connections were provided by the owners of the 'Emre T' for subsequent repairs on Nov 16. Fitting and installation process were being done by the shipyard teams in compliance with the manufacturer's engineer recommendations at the shipyard at Tuzla. Main engine and auxiliary engine maintenance program have been commenced by the manufacturer approved technical team. On May 8 the repairs on the ship, now renamed 'Mustafa Kemal 3', have been completed. The vessel was shifted to Tuzla anchorage in order to carry out sea trials and final performance tests under supervision of a class surveyor. Upon completion of the final inspection, a new set of trading certificates will be issued by the classification society and flag state authority.

The "Emre-T" has entered the Torlak shipyard in Tuzla on Sep 2, and repairs of the engine damage have commenced under the supervision of the owner's superintendent as regards class surveyor further recommendations. Steel replacement was to be done in the cargo tanks piping system together with pumping arrangements. Function and tightness tests will be carried out upon completion of the repairs.

The "Emre T", while en route from Walvis Bay to Tuzla, suffered technical failure during the transit of the Canakkale Strait on July 29, 2019, at 9 p.m. The vessel dropped anchor at the Karanlik Liman Anchorage within the Strait. Repairs have commenced by the crew.
