Fire in Tarragona
The "Bahia de ALcudia" suffered a fire in the afternoon of Sep 11, 2017, around 2 p.m. at the Navarra Quay in Tarragona while prepairing to load a cargo of 9200 tons coal. The fire erupted in the engine room and was extinguished within two hours, with deployment of fire engines and two SAR boats of Salvamento Maritimo, the "Salvamar Diphda" and "Punta Mayor".
