Novalja

The "Novalja" allided with the breakwater in Zadar on Jan 9, 2019 and was damaged. There were 26 people on the catamaran, 18 passengers and a crew of eight. Two people were slightly injured in the accident. One crew member injured his arm, and one passenger asked for medical help. The ship sailed on the Ist - Molat - Zadar route. All passengers were safely disembarked from the ship by the crew and the MRCC Rijeka, and the naval police and port captain started an investigation into the accident which was caused by a tehcnical failure while maneuvering to the berth in Zarar resulting in a steering loss with the engines still pushing the ship forward. The master succeeded in avoiding a bridge and a yacht but at 7.39 a.m. ended in the breakwater.
