Two crew members injured in work accident
Two crew members of the 'Northern Venture' were injured in Goderich’s Harbour, after being pinned under some equipment aboard the vessel on Oct 7, 2025, at 1 p.m.. One of them had to be airlifted from the scene with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The other man also suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. They were driven to hospital. The accident happened as the crew members were doing maintenance work on the vessel which was prepared to be loaded with a cargo of salt. The Ministry of Labour and Transportation Safety Board launched an investigation.
