Grounding off Piombino
The "MTM Santos" got out of the fairway, while leaving Piombino on Jan 31, 2019, and subsequently ran aground. The tanker was exiting port at slow speed and could soon be refloated with the help of a tug. It was taken back to port for inspections and left Piombino late on Feb 1, bound for Rio Grande, ETA Feb 20.
