On March 10, 2026, at 6:18 a.m., the "Nordic Italia," en route from Riga to Hamburg, allided with the guied wall while entering the new southern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel in foggy conditions. The extent of the damage to the ship was unknown. The vessel had to file a report in the lock and was then allowed to continue its voyage towards Hamburg at 8:00 a.m., where it berthed at the Eurogate Container Terminal in the Waltershof Port on the foremidday.

On March 26, 2022, the Gabinete de Investigação de Acidentes Marítimos e da Autoridade para a Meteorologia Aeronáutica (GAMA) in Lisbon was notified of an occurrence with the 'Nordic Italia', which resulted in the entry into the separation zone of a traffic separation scheme. The GAMA has informed the European Commission through EMCIP and requested the necessary evidence from the ship and its company for analysis.

The 'Nordic Italia', en route from Rotterdam to Southampton, UK, with 17 crew members and 2563 tonnes of containers suffered engine trouble while transiting the southwest lane of the Dover Strait Traffic Separation Scheme and anchored in position 51 37 35.0N, 002 05 20.0E on Aug 5, 2021, at 8.50 p.m. The incident was reported to the Dover Coastguard at 6.35 p.m. A part in the lube oil cooler needed to be changed. The ship resumed its voyage at 1.20 a.m. and arrived in Southampton at 5.05 p.m.
