Ultra-Esterhazy

The 'Ultra Esterhazy' encountered problems during a call at Verdal between March 5 and 17, 2026, after the collision with a tug. The entire cargo had to be unloaded on site to inspect the damage. It turned out that the hull had suffered damage that had to be repaired before the ship could continue operating. The ship made it to Trondheim under its own power on March 18, where repairs commenced at the quay. The ship has been given space at Pier II (berths 8 to 11). The repair work was underway and will probably continue for a few weeks. The 'Ultra Esterhazy' suffered a failure of its stern propulsion near Port Renfrew, British Columbia,in position 48 30 25.0 N, 124 40 38.3 W on Feb 7, 2021, at 5.30 p.m. Under the conduct of a pilot and with the assistance of two escort tugs, the vessel proceeded to an anchorage in Vancouver to carry out repairs. As of Feb 10, it was moored in pos. 49° 18.32' N 123° 12.14' W.
