The 'MSC United VIII' arrived in Port Qasim and took berth number QT2-II on Dec 31. It offloaded and loaded containers at the port and sailed again on Dec 1, 2024, at 08.45 a.m., next headed to the Adani Interational Container Terminal in Mundra. The vessel had been supposed to reach Qasim on Dec 23, but due to a mishap, the schedule was disturbed.

The 'MSC United VIII' was attacked on Dec 26, 2023, while transiting the southern Red Sea by Yemen’s Houthi rebels at approximately 12:25 UTC. The ship notified a nearby coalition task force warship of the attack and engaged in evasive manoeuvres. It was en route from King Abdullah Port, Saudi Arabia to Karachi. All crew were safe with no reported injuries, and a thorough assessment of the vessel was being conducted. In an earlier attack on that day 80 nautical miles from Hodeidah, Yemen, an unmanned aerial vehicle approached a commercial vessel and a warship close by. The warship fired two missiles in response. The first missed but the second successfully targeted the UAV.

Some containers have fallen overboard from the 'Navios Unite' in rough weather off the coast of Western Australia about 33 kilometres southwest of Cape Leeuwin on June 25, 2020. The ship was enroute from Fremantle to Adelaide when three containers were lost. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) tasked its Challenger jet from Perth to search an area of about 1.600 square kilometres for any sightings of the missing containers. However, no containers were sighted. THe AMSA started gathering information about the incident and will determine its course of action once the circumstances are understood.
