Grounding on Paraná river
The "Nord Copper", en route to Punta Alvear roads, ran aground at kilometer mark 406 on the Paraná River on Apr 13, 2019. The vessel was assisted by the three tugs "Brutus", "Zeus I" and "Tumbador I". It was refloated on April 14 at 9.45 p.m. The vessel stayed at Rada Rosario carrying out the hull and engine survey. The "Nord Copper" may resume its voyage after the Argentine Coast Guard has carried out the inspections.
