Medevac off Ouessant
In the morning of Dec 23, 2023, the CROSS Corsen was contacted by the 'Asher', transiting southwest of Ouessant en route from Ust-Luga to Port Said, which requested the evacuation of a 23 year lold crew member who was suffering from abdominal pain. At the end of discussions concerning his state of health, it was decided to have a medical team picked up by a H160 helicopter of the French Navy based in Lanvéoc-Poulmic in order to take care of the sailor as soon as possible during his evacuation. The team was taken to the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest. At 11:00 a.m., the H160 helicopter took off and headed towards the ship. The sailor was hoisted, taken care of and transported to the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest where he arrived at 11:55 a.m.
