Engine failure in Tatarskiy Strait
The "Arsenyev" suffered engine failure and was brought to anchor in the Tatarskiy Strait in the morning of May 31, 2017, while en route from Liuheng to Vanino. On June 1 the vessel was still at anchor in position 48 11N 139 52E, some 60 nm south of Vanino. On June 2 the tanker "Glier" (IMO: 8920529) took the casualty in tow to Sovetskaya Gavan, ETA June 2, 11.30 p.m.

Disabled in 4-th Kuril Strait area, either in Okhotsk sea or in the Pacific. In the morning April 20 2011, vessel reported failure of a main engine, crew can’t fix the problem by own means. Salvage tug under way, ETA morning April 21.
