Allision on the Danube
On June 2, 2019, the "Crucestar", under the command of a Ukrainian captain, got off course during a turning manoever on the Danube at the Djerdap 1 lock and slammed into another river cruise ship, the German "A-Rosa Mia" which was berthed at the quay. The ship got its bow tip crushed and then drifted against the river quay before it could be brought unter control. The "Crucestar" had sailed from Budapest on May 30 and berthed in the Molodovan port Giurgiu on June 3 at 10.55 a.m. At 8.10 p.m. it continued to Fetesti. The "A Rosa Mia" which had sailed from Vienna on May 30 suffered damage at starboard side when the "Crucestar" hit. She berthed in Rusa on June 3 at 11 a.m. on its way to repairs in Linz, ETA June 11. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9ssAZwK47E

On Aug 13 the damaged "A' Rosa Mia" was taken from the Jochenstein lock to the repair Yard ÖSWAG in Linz, being pushed by the tug "Magdalena" of Domarin. Wheelhouse destroyed in allision
On Aug 10, 2014, at 04.20 a.m. the "A Rosa Mia" allided with a pedestrian Bridge across the Jochenstein lock on the Danube. The river cruise ship was underway from Budapest to Passau. The Ukrainian master forgot to lower the wheelhouse when leaving the lock so that it was cut off by the bridge. The ship was disabled and moored at the left river shore outside the fairway. It was planned to tow it to Linz for repairs. The 192 passengers who remained uninjured were taken to Passau with coaches. The lock was closed for the time of the repair. The damage was estimated to be around 150 000 Euro. The water police Passau launched an investigation. By Aug 11, the ship was still at Jochenstein.
