Engine failure off Ambarli
The 'Nissos Sikinos', en route from Novorossyisk to Istanbul, suffered a malfunction of its main engine off the coast of Ambarlı in the morning of Aug 3, 2021. At 4.30 a.m. the ship was safely moored at the anchorage zone of Istanbul in pos. 40° 55.11' N 028° 32.40' E, assisted by a pilot, the Turkish SAR ship 'Nene Hatun' and the tugs 'Kurtarma 7' and 'Kurarma 12', for repairs.
