Allision in Lagos
The 'GH Meltemi' allided with the container m/v 'MSC Carmen' (IMO: 9349813), which was docked at the terminal of the Ports & Cargo Handling Services Ltd. in Tincan-Lagos during berthing operations at the port on Feb 26, 2021. There were no injuries nor pollution from the incident. The Portuguese authorities have commenced procedures for collecting evidence of the incident for analysis. The 'GH Meltemi' remained berthed at the Fivestar Tincan Island Container Terminal as of March 3. Also the 'MSC Carmen remained stationary.
