Ferry adrift in Patras
The "Nikolaos A" broke off her moorings at the Rio Portin port in Patras in the night of July 16, 2017. The ferry drifted some 500 meters, before control was regained. While being adrift, the ferry struck about 15 small boats berthed nearby, dragging some ashore. Two of the boats sank, many more were damaged. Strong wind caused the acccident.
