Damage in grounding off Drogheda
The "Arklow Valor" suffered some damage to the port side when she grounded leaving the port of Drogheda on Dec 13, 2018, She was refloated by the Belfast based tug "Masterman" on Dec 14 at 4 p.m. and sailed on to Dublin but could not enter the port until Dec 16 due to high wind and high swellcaused by the storm Deirdre. At 2.15 p.m. she docked at the Dublin General Cargo I terminal and sailed again on Dec 24, bound to Swansea. She docked at the Swansea Shiprepair on Dec 25 at 7.40 a.m. for repairs. Odense Canal blocked by grounding
The "Arklow Valour" ran aground in the Odense Canal on Nov 21, 2017, at 4.15 a.m. and blocked it for other ship traffic. The brand new ship had come from Rotterdam to load a cargo of sand and got stuck at the Odins Bridge on sandy bottom. It drifted perpendicular to the fairway, thus barring it. At 10.45 the ship was refloated and berthed in Odense at 11 a.m. It docked at the Severnaya Verf Shipyard in St. Petersburg on Nov 26 at 4.30 p.m. She left the yard on Nov 28 after repairs at 5.30 p.m. bound for Sevilla, ETA Dec 8.
