Trawler released, captain under arrest

The "Roxen" which was seized by Russian authorities near the enclave of Kaliningrad on May 10 was released and left the port on June 25 at 5.15 p.m. The captain was still in house arrest, and the shipping company was critical of the action. To get rid of the ship, the shipping company has paid the equivalent of nearly SEK 7.6 million. Russian authorities have started a crime investigation and suspected that the Estonian captain of the "Roxen" deliberately entered and fished in Russian economic zone. The company insisted that problems with the navigation equipment were behind the "Roxen" being in the zone for about two hours.
