Safety fine because of lacking transport certificates
In the afternoon of Nov 19, 2016, the master of the "Rova Stones" had to pay a safety fine because he could not Show required certificates during a police control in the Northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel. The ship was loaded with 3,500 tons of iron swarf, for which the captain would have had to submit a transport document required for the transport of bulk material by sea. However, since he was unable to do so, the officials ordered him to pay a security fee of EUR 330 before the ship could continue the4 vvoyage from Horsens to Barreiro.
