Diana Shipping fixes capesizer
Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has fixed one of its capesizes, to Peter Weernink’s new venture Singapore Marine. The 2010-built cape New York has been fixed to Singapore Marine for a period of 17-19 months. The contract, which commenced last week, is at a rate of $15,500 per day. The rate is only slightly below the $16,000 per day previously being paid by DHL Project and Chartering in Hong Kong.
